Experiment
I truly believe the mornings set the tone for the rest of the day. It also is the first trigger (as mentioned in the book Power of Habit) in your day, presenting a great opportunity to build a habit. I for one, look for ways to optimize and streamline this process as much as possible.
With a solid morning routine, you can accomplish so much in a short span of time, and make it a habit so that you can do this consistently. Below is a routine that I have optimized to a t. I have not skipped a day for 2 years now. In summary: 1- Meditate 2- Turn Audible 3- Abs Workout (Check screenshot above for details) 4- Drink 0.5l Water 5- Cold Shower 6- Bathroom Rituals: face wash, brush, floss, sunblock… 7- Affirmations & Visualization :read out loud 7- Change & get ready 8- Make an optimized breakfast 9- Audible in the car 10- CRUSH THE DAY! Average Time Investment: 27- 32 Minutes/ Day Having this routine allowed me to deceive my body into thinking all I had to do was this one routine (Known as Habit Stacking). Not pressing snooze in the morning and and making my bed already reinforced subconscious feelings of accomplishment and allowed me to start the morning off on the right foot. Slowly slowly, I engrained these habits into muscle memory (aka nucleus accumbens) and now follow it every day. Results
